Anaerobe Identification
Rapid, presumptive identification
The Wadsworth Anaerobic Bacteriology Manual (edition V)recommends that all laboratories should be capable of identifying anaerobes to Level 1, which it defines as ‘presumptive identification from primary plates’. Level 1 uses basic information from the primary plate with simple parameters such as Gram reaction, morphology and few easily tested biochemical characteristics.
BioConnections has brought together a group of quality controlled, conveniently packaged reagents to enable all laboratories achieve first-day ‘Level 1’ identification of anaerobes.
