Available variants of the test:
- eazyplex® C. diff complete, determines toxin A, toxin B, GDH and binary toxin
- eazyplex® C. diff classic, determines toxin B and GDH
- eazyplex® C. diff basic, determines toxin B
Intended purpose of the test:
- Screening of patients suspected of having C. Diff associated diarrhea via stool samples.
- Diagnosis (confirmatory assay to verify results of previous testing) and aid to diagnosis (providing additional information to assist in the determination or verification of a patients' clinical status, test is not the sole determinant) of all kind of patients via testing stool samlpes or bacterial colonies.
Protective mechanisms preventing the use of false results:
- Performance of "Inhibition control" with each sample prevents the use of false negative test results due to the inhibition of the amplificaiton reaction and simultaneously serves as a reagent control.
- The test result is only displayed if the inhibition control is valid.
- As required, a test strip can be processed as a negative/ contamination control by testing LPTV-RS without addition of sample material. In this case, only the inhibition control is allowed to create a positive signal.
