Eazyplex CSF

The eazyplex^® CSF direct test system is a qualitative in vitro diagnostic system for the detection of infectious agents (bacteria and viruses) from cerebrospinal fluid, which can cause inflammation of the central nervous system (CNS). With this molecular biological test system for direct detection, the following infectious agents are recorded: HSV-1, HSV-2, VZV as well as N. meningitidis, S. pneumoniae, S. agalactiae and L. monocytogenes.

An early diagnosis and a rapid beginning of the treatment of bacterial meningitis/ meningo-encephalitis is very important, because the lethality increases strongly with a decelerated therapy start.
